Beat the Streets-Madison, Inc., is a 501(c)(3), non-stock Wisconsin corporation, with an objective of developing sustainable wrestling programs in our community that will attract at-risk youth. Our goal is to expand the sport of wrestling in the area by helping our kids develop skills necessary for a successful life. Through the sport of wrestling we strengthen personal attributes such as work ethic, respect, discipline, mental toughness and good sportsmanship.
Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR) offers youth wrestling classes for grades K-8 at all four of the Madison high schools from November through March.
The goal of Beat the Streets-Madison is to supplement the MSCR classes by offering competition opportunities for kids that would like to experience the sport of wrestling in a more competitive setting outside of the MSCR instructional classes.
BTS-Madison wrestlers are provided with coaching and transportation opportunities, uniforms, admission into USA Wrestling-sponsored tournaments, local scrimmages and dual meets during the winter months. Our goal is to make it financially feasible for all kids, regardless of financial means, to participate in the sport of wrestling prior to high school.
The BTS-Madison wrestling club is an option for kids registered at the Madison Memorial, Madison West and Madison East high school locations. If you are registered at the Madison La Follette location, your son or daughter will have the opportunity to join the Lancer Youth Wrestling Club.
